Louisiana Tech University Amateur Radio Club, W5HGT, is an active club which has been part of the Louisiana Tech campus since ~1937.  Club adviser Dr. Mickey Cox, K5MC, oversees the clubs activities. Currently the club has about 15 or so active licensed members, six of which are certified by the National Weather Service to be Storm Spotters. The club is divided up into three groups. Each group is under the leadership of the group's chair. The three groups are SKYWARN, Communications, and Communications Engineering. This division of responsibilities seems to be the best approach for all of us and the club.
