Callsign: K4MSU

Founded: 1960's

Location: Murray, KY

MSUARC in its current form began in the late 1960's by a group of hams associated with Murray State University as students, faculty and alumni.  Over the years the club has been active in many contests, public service events and member events.  Licensing classes over the years have resulted in many new hams and many upgrades. Currenty the club VE team provides examinations as needed and requested.

The club is in the process of installing a satellite station and upgrading the main station equipment.  During the ice storm in the end of January 2009 and the beginning of Feburary 2009 club members provided communications support for several Emergency Operations Centers in the far western part of Kentucky as well as communications officers for evacuation/warming centers in the area.

The club has three active repeaters - 146.940, 147.240 and 443.800 located in and near the Murray area.  We meet monthly on the first Tuesday evening in the Collins Center (IT Building) on the campus of Murray State University.
